QR Reader Guide

Decode QR codes from uploaded images or your device camera. Scan locally in your browser—no account required.

How it works
  1. Drag and drop a QR image or click the upload area to browse (JPG, PNG, GIF, WebP — max 5 MB).
  2. Or click Use Camera — the live view and Stop Camera appear; the code is decoded automatically when detected (no capture button).
  3. View Decoded Content and the action buttons (the QR image is not shown again).
  4. Use Copy to Clipboard, Open Link (for URLs), or Scan Another QR Code to scan again (camera opens again if you used the camera).

Frequently asked questions

Is my QR data stored?

No. All scanning happens locally in your browser.

What image formats work?

JPG, PNG, GIF, and WebP up to 5 MB each.

Why won't my code scan?

Ensure the code is clear, well lit, and fills enough of the frame; crop to the code if needed.

Do I need to tap Capture?

No. While the camera is open, the tool scans continuously and decodes as soon as it sees a valid QR code.

When does Stop Camera appear?

Only after you click Use Camera. It stops the live view and returns you to upload or camera options unless a code was already decoded.
