Image Compressor Guide

Shrink JPG, PNG, or WebP files for faster loading and smaller attachments. Upload one image, set quality and optional max dimension, run compression, and download with a private random filename—no account required.

How it works
  1. Upload a JPG, PNG, or WebP image by drag-and-drop or file browse (max 5 MB).
  2. Review Selected Image—use ✕ to remove the file and pick another if needed.
  3. Set Quality (1–100%) and optionally Max dimension to scale down large images before compressing.
  4. Click Run and wait while the file is compressed (Running… on the button).
  5. Click Download to save the result (random filename, not your original image name).
  6. Use Review / Feedback after a successful run if you want to share comments about the tool.

Frequently asked questions

What button starts compression?

Click Run after your image appears under Selected Image. The button shows Running… while the file is compressed.

Will compression reduce quality?

Lower quality settings produce smaller files with more visible loss; higher settings preserve more detail.

What does max dimension do?

If the image’s longest side is larger than the value you enter, it is scaled down proportionally before compression.

Why is the download filename random?

The compressed file is named with a short random code (for example aBc12XyZ9mN4pQ7r.jpg) so your original image filename is not copied into the download.

Can I compress another image after downloading?

Yes. Remove the file with ✕ or upload a new image, adjust settings, then click Run again.
